oh my goodness!!  it is so wonderful to hear from you!  how lucky we are at bronx green to have such wonderful students, thank you for your comments, and please write more whenever you want- you can do it at home too!

i am doing very well, thank you.  i am currently in a city called seminyak on the island of bali, which is part of the country of indonesia.  i love the city, but the people cater to tourists here, so things are a bit westernized.  i am excited to go to the countryside.  one of the employees at my hotel is going to take me to his village where i will learn to speak balinese and cook indonesian food!  so exciting!

i will also be learning more about the hindu religion, which i am very interested in.  the hindu religion originated in the country of india, which i visited in august of 2009.  have you studied india yet?  when you do, make sure to ask mrs. touchstone and ms. thompson to show you what i brought back for you from india!!

as for the gifts, i have many gifts for you from hawai’i and australia, but i am afraid that puppies and kangaroos are not included.  you silly gooses!!  you know how much i love plants, so i’m sure you can guess what kinds of things i might have sent!!  the package from hawai’i should be arriving soon; the one from australia will come in another month or so.

would you like to talk over skype?  if you tell me when your advisory meets, i can try to call during your advisory class!  my internet access will not be reliable everyday because most homes in small villages do not have internet access, but i will do my best to call if you can set up a laptop and download skype!!

P.S.  which classes are you from?  It’s tough to remember which class you were in!  I know 604 and 601 are represented, and one of the classes that has field study in mr. davis’s room, right?  605??
