the best and most logical way to create and maintain a successful garden in drought conditions is to use plants native to your area or other areas with similar conditions. these plants have a natural ability to deal with drought conditions and do not need extra water in order to survive. deb has made wise choices over the years by choosing native perennials for the trees and shrubs that make up the foundation of her garden and experimenting with smaller perennials from different climates as her borders.
