rainwater catchment system

the rainwater catchment system is the third method of water conservation deb employs.  it is an environmentally friendly and efficient method for using a natural resource, rain, that is all too often taken for granted.  the system has several sections.  like most homes, deb’s has gutters at the edge of her roof which catch rain as it falls.  this prevents the rain from falling off the roof, sometimes causing erosion and often wasting the water on areas that don’w necessarily need much water.  unlike most houses, these gutters don’t just dump the water somewhere else!  deb’s gutters transport the rain water into a large tank in her backyard with a hose attached to it!  deb can choose to use the rainwater where and when it is most needed, making sure that not a drop is wasted.
